Regina Costa was born in Angola. She lives and works in Cascais.
With a Degree in Fine Arts from the Federal University of Bahia, she obtained her Advanced Studies Diploma (Suficiencia Investigadora) from the University of Barcelona.
After a period of absence, she resumed her activity in the expanded field of printmaking, recently expanding her research into other mediums. Drawing from her own biography, her artistic practice addresses maps as devices that materialize power structures over territories and the bodies that traverse them.
