Other Landscapes (Folded Cloth series), 2022
Triptych made from fabric scraps folded by hand and sewn together. The rhythm of the imperfect and repetitive movement of the manual gesture of folding the fabric reorganizes its materiality and hides (or dilutes) without completely erasing the mechanized information from its surface (its print and its color). The new junctions and connections that result between the different flaps of the folded fabric, between the haptic and the optical, give rise to multiple landscapes that do not obey either a model or specific forms.
Three-dimensional tactile maps are defined by the memory of repeated gestures, folding, creasing, sewing (from the contact of the hand with the fabric scraps).

Tríptico realizado a partir de retalhos de tecido dobrados à māo e costurados.
O ritmo do movimento imperfeito e repetitivo do gesto manual de dobrar o tecido reorganiza a sua materialidade e oculta (ou dilui) sem apagar completamente a informação mecanizada da sua superfície (a sua estampa e a sua cor). As novas junções e conexões resultantes entre os diferentes retalhos do tecido dobrado, entre o háptico e o óptico, dão lugar a múltiplas paisagens, quase expressões de linhas cartográficas, que não obedecem nem a um modelo, nem a formas determinadas a priori.
Mapas tridimensionais tácteis sāo definidos pela memória dos gestos repetidos, dobrar, vincar, costurar (do contacto da māo com os retalhos de tecido).
